i AM SO gLAd i QUiT

For those of you new to quitting as myself,quit smoking, I just wanted to give you some hope. For the last 12 years I have smoked a pack to a pack and a half per day. I was terrified in other attempts at quitting for the simple reason that I couldn't picture what my life and daily social patterns would be like without a cigarette. I am a newbie that decided to quit last Sunday. I will tell you that if you just work through beating the cravings and face them with the suggestions provided in this panel and the newbie package, you like myself will benefit from not smoking. I used to have 3 to 4 cigarettes just with my first cup of coffee in the morning. My life was full of smoke. I feel a sense of freedom now that I never had before. Fellow Newbies, don't be terrified or scared if you can't picture your day without a cigarette. Work through your cravings and face them by not taking another puff or resorting to that smoke. My cravings are less severe now as the they ever have been. Just like what was told to me if I just would work at beating the cravings. Yours will go away, too. Read what others on this panel are saying. When I would get cravings I started to read posts on the message board and I would pledge to not smoke so I would be held accountable.
